Benchmade 710 - Select The Best Multi Purpose Folding Knife
The Benchmade 710 although plain looking is the end product of lots of hard work over the course of 4 years of the two famous designers Bull McHenry and Jason Williams. The popular AXIS lock permits for easy one-handed opening and closing of the blade without your fingers ever being in the path of the blade. The lock was also designed by Bill and Jason. The lock design is simple to control with no instructions needed on how the knife works.
The brute strength of the lock is the main selling feature. In testing, the lock supported a negative weight of over 200 pounds without damage. In testing, the lock finally failed after using additional force. The liners simply cracked over the locking pin but never the blade closed on the users hand.
The AXIS lock features two Omega shaped springs that supply excellent functional redundancy. The springs are pressured slightly. Multiple tests reveal they should last indefinitely. In tests, when one of the springs failed, the other was still operating the knife with no problems.
