My Old Memories With Dragonfly TT487 And My Grandfather:

Stories could be quite inspiring especially when they are coming from your grandparents. One of such stories I shall like to share with you, which my grandfather told me when I was little. The only thing is that this is a real one.

My grandfather spent his child hood in a rural part of Pennsylvania. The houses where quite away from one another not like the once that we have in cities, as he told me. Clearly there were not many kinds around to play with. The nearest house was six mile away from where he was living, so you can very well imagine that how would he be killing his time. But then the choices are limited the ways have to be stretched out from those. Hence, he told me that what he used to do was to kill his time by catching dragonflies the entire afternoon at the swamp in the back of his house.

During that time one of his cousins visited him. He used to live in the outskirts of New York City. Clearly, the life style that he had would have to be drastically different from the boy living in the rural Pennsylvania. However, my grandfather was really delighted to have some one to play with. And he thought that he would show his cousin how he plays with the dragon flies, so he took his cousin to the little pond and showed how he catches these flies. The New York boy was not quite comfortable with the idea of playing with bugs. In fact when he say my grandfather playing the way he was, he screamed and ran in the house and for that entire summer preferred to be the same way.

Much later than that time, my grandfather got into the US air force to be the first proud US soldier to be flying the helicopter during a combat. And at the age of 79 he passed away as he was suffering for cancer. I couldn’t get my kinds to meet their great grandfather but of course they know the story too. Much later I discovered that there was a Dragonfly TT487 remote control helicopter available in the market. And I still remember when I saw that I had goose bumps and the only thing I could remember was my grandfather. I wished he was alive so I would have purchased one for him – as a tribute. But then, people pass away and their memories are all you have to cherish. Thinking that I bought one for my kids and no when ever I am able to cut down some time from work I would spend hours with my kids in the back yard flying the Dragonfly TT487 remote control helicopters and remembering my grandfather.

I wonder, I used to mock at my grandfather when he used to tell me the story over and over again. And now I guess I would have narrated the same to my children for more than 15 times. But the fact is that I miss him and I am sure than my kinds know him through the stories and most of all whenever we play with the Dragonfly TT487 remote control helicopters, I feel he is around.
